Student Adam Sun takes a bow after his appearance in Carnegie Hall as a winner of the Young Muse Competition.
My discovery and love of teaching has come about as a natural outgrowth of my own passion for music, the piano, and practicing. While I still think of myself as far from old, there does come a point in one's life when you feel a need to pour back all the knowledge and dedication that you yourself received.
"I want to thank you for being such an organized and wonderful teacher for Ryan. We are really are lucky to have you!"
- Farzaneh Pakina, mother of Ryan, age 7
"My two daughters took piano for three years with an old teacher and saw no progress. My girls would come home week after week not wanting to practice, and I eventually discovered that they were not taught to read music. Within four months of studying with Carlos, not only did their reading improve, but they were both able to perform wonderfully, from memory, in the annual recitals. Any parent and child is truly lucky to be able to have Carlos as a teacher."
- Lori Gallagher, mother of Sarah and Camille, ages 8 and 12.
"I am absolutely thrilled to have found Carlos, He is truly a master not only technically, but as a true scholar and artist. At first I felt a bit intimidated that someone of his stature would take on an intermediate piano student such as myself, but am blessed that he has had the patience and perseverance to help m through some very difficult musical passages. What impresses me the most is his ability to bring out my own musical voice without losing the essence of the composition. He is a concert pianist and if I weren't so eager to have him teach me could sit for hours and just listen to him play. I highly recommend him and suggest you grab him before Carnegie Hall does"
